Microsoft's 5,000th Market Watch Post marks a Milestone in two ways!
1. Any website with 5,000 posts of significance is a milestone!
2. Powerset.com has been acquired by Microsoft. This is a very positive move for the Powerset team to further their development and prepare the infrastructure for their future search technology implementation.
Lot's of questions do come up with the acquisition of Powerset. Will the technology from Powerset enhance MSN search? Or will there be new mobile applications for voice search for natural language?
Mobile search will become bigger than desktop search in the future. Are the two, MS and Powerset, preparing their marketing for it? It can be assumed they are, but to date, they have not quite got it right. The missing element of leading the market in the future is still not addressed.
We will see though if MS and Powerset will want marketing strategies to take them back to the top.
This blogger has a very powerful marketing strategy that hopefully will be presented to MS and Powerset sometime in the future. Perhaps Satya Nadella, Microsoft's Senior VP for Search, Portal, and Advertising will want to know how he can make search and portal search a greater success? Or now that Powerset has the opportunity to move into the mainstream with MSN, they will want to know?

Brand - Query Results from Powerset.com
A new search tool provides Wikipedia results that are presented in a relevant and quick reference format. I just search for the word "brand" and here are the Factz from Powerset .
What is interesting is that there are two results on brand for marketing, and many results ranging from Rock Music groups to famous people with the name Brand.
